Tishk International University, in collaboration with Soran University, proudly hosted the 10th Career Days on May 13–14, 2025, marking a decade of commitment to student development and university-industry collaboration. With the prestigious participation of 30 companies and the announcement of over 300 job opportunities, this year’s event set new benchmarks in both scale and impact.
Organized by the Career Development Center (CDC), the event served as a dynamic platform for final-year students, alumni, and job seekers to engage directly with leading employers and explore professional pathways. The two-day event attracted thousands of participants and included a variety of academic, cultural, and career-oriented activities.

Academic-Industry Insight: Panel Discussions
Two major panel sessions brought together experts from academia, industry, and government to discuss the evolving relationship between higher education and the labor market:
- FASE Panel –
“Bridging the Gap Between Market and Academia”
Hosted by the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, in collaboration with Career Development Center, this session explored how academic programs can better align with market expectations. Panelists included:

“The Skills Equation: What Engineers Need and How Universities Can Deliver,”
Organized by Faculty of Engineering, in collaboration with Career Development Center, this session focused on equipping future engineers with market-relevant skills. Panelists included:
- Dr. Agreen Abdullah Azezz, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing – KRG
- Associate Prof. Dr. Jamal Ismael Kakrasul, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Soran University
- Prof. Dr. Omar Qarani, Professor at Salahadin University and Senior Consultant
- Dr. Esamaddin Mulapeer, Deputy Station Manager at KPC company.
- Moderated by Mr. Heersh Omar, CDC Director at TIU
Both panels emphasized the importance of career readiness, curriculum reform, and university-industry cooperation to enhance graduate employability in the Kurdistan Region.
Student Innovation Rewarded: Huawei Competition
The Career Days also featured an exciting Huawei-sponsored competition, where students showcased their creativity and innovation. Winners were awarded tablet, smartphone, and AirPods, adding an engaging tech-focused dimension to the event.
Cultural Interlude: Harmony Through Music
As part of the Career Days celebration, a special musical concert was held on Tuesday, May 13th at 3:00 PM, organized by the university’s Music Clubs.
A Memorable Closing Ceremony
The event concluded with a successful closing ceremony, reflecting on the achievements of the past two days. Appreciation was extended to all sponsors, participating companies, and organizational teams for their dedication and support. The closing remarks echoed the university’s continued mission to prepare students for real-world challenges through academic excellence and career development.
