From February 9 to February 13, 2024, Tishk International University hosted the 5th Tishk International Book Fair in the Main Building, organized by the Dean of Students.
The event was themed “We Read, We Grow, We Succeed,” with the goal of promoting the importance of education and reading for personal and societal development.
The keynote speaker, Revan Rzgar from the Mechatronics Department, shared her insights on how education and reading contribute to the development of enlightened individuals who can become community educators.
The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Idres Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees; Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi, President of the University; and Dr. Muhammed Abdulghani, Dean of Students.
During the fair, an Appreciation Plaque was presented to several participating bookstores for their valuable contribution to the event and their ongoing support of the university’s mission.
These bookstores included Haval Bookstore, Cambridge Bookstore, Ashtyi Bookstore, Lalezar Bookstore, Adiban Bookstore, Kara Bookstore, and Balldar Bookstore.
The book fair attracted a wide range of visitors, including students, faculty members, and book enthusiasts. It provided an excellent opportunity for attendees to explore a diverse selection of books across various genres, including literature, science, history, and more.
Overall, the book fair was a great success. The Dean of Students plans to expand the event in the future, aiming to include more bookstores and host additional panels to further promote the importance of education and reading for personal and societal growth
