The central theme of the concert focused on the Kurdish National Anthem and its symbolic meaning. Through music and collective performance, students reflected on the values represented in the anthem—freedom, resilience, unity, and hope. The performances emphasized how national songs are not only musical compositions but also powerful expressions of identity and shared history. By presenting traditional Kurdish melodies alongside anthem-inspired elements, the concert created a strong emotional connection between art and national pride.
A special and emotional moment marked the end of the concert when university staff member Mr. Rebin Hamad Hassan performed a song he personally composed. He wrote the lyrics himself, reflecting on historical events and experiences that the Kurdish people have faced in the past. His heartfelt performance deeply moved the audience and added meaningful depth to the evening.
This event highlighted the importance of art and culture in education, fostering creativity, unity, and mutual respect among students and staff. The Music Club continues to provide a valuable platform where talent can grow, national identity can be honored, and cultural heritage can be proudly shared within the university community.
