Under the leadership of the TIU Presidency, Tishk International University (TIU) successfully organized the Plant a Tree Challenge as part of the Healthier & Greener Kurdistan Initiative. This meaningful activity aimed to raise awareness about climate change, strengthen environmental responsibility, and encourage students to contribute to a more sustainable future.
The initiative reflects TIU’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially:
SDG 13: Climate Action
SDG 15: Life on Land
SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
Students actively participated by planting trees, documenting their efforts, and sharing their contributions, promoting values such as sustainability, carbon footprint reduction, and green campus engagement.
In recognition of their outstanding efforts, two students were awarded certificates by the TIU Presidency. Their achievement highlights the important role of youth in advancing climate resilience and environmental awareness.
Tishk International University continues to support initiatives that promote green innovation, sustainable development, and responsible citizenship, reinforcing its vision for a greener and more resilient Kurdistan.
Every tree planted today is an investment in a better tomorrow.
