Tishk International University successfully concluded its 2026 Inter-Faculty Football Championship, an annual sporting event organized by the University Sports Unit to foster student engagement, teamwork, and a vibrant campus culture.
The tournament brought together teams representing the University’s eight faculties: Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Science, Engineering, Education, FASE, and Law. Over the course of two weeks, students competed in a series of highly competitive matches held on the university campus, demonstrating remarkable athletic ability, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The championship culminated in an exciting final match on Wednesday, 20 May 2026, at 5:00 PM, where the Faculty of Dentistry faced the Faculty of Education. The final attracted a large audience, including faculty deans, academic staff, students, and representatives of the University Sports Unit, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and strong support for both teams.
Following a closely contested and high-quality performance from both sides, the Faculty of Dentistry secured a well-deserved victory to claim the championship title.
At the closing ceremony, awards and trophies were presented to recognize the achievements of participating teams and outstanding individual performers. The Faculty of Dentistry received the championship trophy, while the Faculty of Education was honored as the tournament runner-up. Special awards were also presented to the Best Player and Best Goalkeeper in recognition of their exceptional performances.
