As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen alumni relations and showcase graduate achievements, the Alumni Office at Tishk International University (TIU), coordinated by Alumni Office, conducted a series of alumni communications with distinguished graduates from different faculties and professional fields.
Among the featured alumni was Ms. Shene Ahmad, a graduate of the College of Law and a practicing lawyer in Sulaymaniyah. She shared her experience in the legal profession and highlighted how her leadership roles during her university years helped develop her communication, leadership, and professional skills. She also discussed her continued involvement in humanitarian and volunteer activities supporting vulnerable communities.
The Alumni Office also communicated with Ms.Shene Mohammed Wasman, a graduate currently working at Shorsh Hospital in Ranya. She emphasized the importance of scientific knowledge, practical laboratory training, and critical thinking in healthcare, while encouraging students to communicate with patients respectfully and professionally.
Ms.Banah Lutfi Sedeeq, a graduate of the Civil Engineering Department, reflected on how her studies contributed to her professional growth. She encouraged students to strengthen both theoretical and practical skills, gain experience with engineering software, and actively participate in field training opportunities.
Another successful graduate, Ms.Pshu Kareem Omar, currently working in the education sector across several international schools in the United States, shared how university life helped develop independence, discipline, critical thinking, communication skills, and respect for diversity. She encouraged students to make the most of their academic journey and personal development opportunities.
The communication with Ms.Firdaws Jamal Rasheed, a biology graduate and Deputy Principal of Guidance at Basra Ishik Girls’ School, highlighted the role of university education in building scientific knowledge, confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills. She encouraged students to actively engage in both academic and extracurricular activities.
The Alumni Office also highlighted the achievements of Ms.Khazan M. Ahmed, a graduate of the Computer Engineering Department currently serving as a Computer Engineer at the Directorate of Nationality and Identity in Kalar. He emphasized the importance of combining technical expertise with communication skills, teamwork, discipline, and continuous self-development.
In the healthcare sector, Dr.Elham Omer Hamad, a graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry and a practicing dentist in Ranya, shared her professional journey and volunteer contributions to community dental health awareness. She emphasized the importance of responsibility, practical experience, and compassion in the dental profession.
Similarly, Dr. Marwa Lateef Fatih, a distinguished graduate of the College of Dentistry and currently working at Soma Dental Clinic, reflected on how TIU helped shape her professional and personal growth. She expressed appreciation for her professors and encouraged students to remain dedicated, confident, and committed to achieving excellence.
