On Thursday, December 12, 2024, the Dean of Students Office held a special luncheon to engage with faculty-student representatives. The event, scheduled at 11:00 AM in the Dean of Students’ Office, aimed to foster open communication between university leadership and student representatives while addressing key issues and celebrating achievements.
The meeting was chaired by Dr. Muhammed Abdulghani, the Dean of Students, who welcomed all participants and set the agenda for discussion. Several important topics were brought to light, reflecting the university’s commitment to maintaining a collaborative environment for its student body. Furthermore, Mr. Mousa M Amin, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, was invited to the meeting to provide detailed explanations and address questions raised by student representatives. His insights were highly appreciated, and the office extends its gratitude for his contributions. In addition to that, Mr. Hersh Omar, Career Center Coordinator, outlined the roles and responsibilities of the Career Center. He emphasized its initiatives to prepare students for professional success and answered queries regarding upcoming programs and Mr. Rozh, the faculty-student representative of the Engineering Faculty, was recognized for his outstanding achievement in a competition organized by the Career Center. He was awarded a brand-new laptop as a token of appreciation for his dedication and accomplishment. Moreover, Mr. Frsat Abdulla, the Alumni Coordinator, introduced the university’s new alumni portal application. He explained its features and benefits, emphasizing its role in maintaining strong connections between the university and its graduates. Additionally, Mr. Hedi Mustafa, the Event Program Coordinator, elaborated on the responsibilities of faculty-student representatives. He engaged in a discussion about the key challenges faced by students and encouraged representatives to share their perspectives.
The meeting was marked by active participation and meaningful dialogue. Student representatives expressed their satisfaction with the event, praising the Dean of Students Office for providing a platform to voice their concerns and collaborate on solutions.
