Erbil, Kurdistan Region – On May 14, 2025, the second day of the 10th Career Days event featured an insightful panel discussion organized by the Faculty of Engineering in collaboration with CDC at Tishk International University. The panel, titled “The Skills Equation: What Engineers Need and How Universities Can Deliver,” brought together distinguished experts from academia, industry, and government to discuss bridging the gap between engineering education and market needs.

the session was moderated by Mr. Heersh Omar, Director of the Career Development Center at TIU.The experts shared their perspectives on the critical skills required for engineers to succeed in a rapidly evolving job market and emphasized the importance of universities adapting curricula to meet industry demands. Discussions centered on practical engineering competencies, technological proficiency, and the role of continuous learning to keep pace with sector innovations.This panel session is a vital part of the 10th Career Days initiative, which fosters collaboration between educational institutions and employers to create meaningful career opportunities for students and graduates.
