On 10 February 2026, Ms. Khumar Rashid officially opened a special art exhibition at Tishk International University, presenting a personal collection of artworks that conveyed meaningful messages about Kurdistan, humanity, and the beauty of nature.

The exhibition was coordinated by Ms. Gala Abdullah Ibrahim and Mr. Bokan Asaad Hassan, whose efforts ensured the successful organization of the event and the welcoming atmosphere experienced by visitors throughout the day.

The displayed artworks thoughtfully illustrated themes of identity, belonging, resilience, and harmony with nature. Through expressive colors, symbolic elements, and carefully composed scenes, Ms. Khumar reflected the spirit of Kurdistan—its landscapes, culture, history, and the strength of its people. Many pieces highlighted the emotional connection between humans and the natural world, portraying nature not simply as scenery, but as a living source of inspiration, balance, and hope.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore paintings that transformed mountains, sunlight, traditional symbols, and everyday human experiences into powerful visual stories. Each artwork invited reflection, encouraging viewers to appreciate cultural roots while also recognizing shared human values such as dignity, coexistence, and compassion.

The exhibition also carried an important message about the role of art in building awareness and responsibility. By presenting nature as something to be respected and protected, the artworks inspired thoughtful consideration of environmental care and sustainable living. Through creativity, the exhibition encouraged positive engagement with culture, community, and the surrounding environment.

Students, staff, and guests who attended expressed admiration for the depth and sincerity reflected in the collection. The event created a calm and inspiring space for dialogue, artistic appreciation, and cultural pride within the academic setting.

Through this exhibition, Tishk International University once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting artistic expression, empowering educators and artists, and fostering a campus culture that values creativity, identity, and shared human responsibility.
