On Wednesday, April 2, 2026, the Career Development Center (CDC) at Tishk International University (TIU), in collaboration with the University Events Unit, organized an engaging academic and cultural event as part of the TIU Book Fair.

The program featured two inspiring talks highlighting the importance of reading in both academic and professional life. Prof. Dr. Bayan delivered a session on “The Effect of Reading on Future Career,” emphasizing how reading enhances career readiness, innovation, and lifelong learning. Dr. Abdulrahman Wahab presented “The Effect of Reading on Academic Life,” focusing on the role of reading in improving academic performance, critical thinking, and student success.

In addition, a General Knowledge Competition was conducted using the Kahoot platform, bringing together students from different faculties in a dynamic and interactive environment. The competition covered a range of topics, encouraging engagement and intellectual development. The top five participants were awarded prizes in recognition of their achievements.

Held at the main building entrance within the Book Fair area, the event attracted a large number of students and contributed to promoting a culture of reading, knowledge sharing, and academic excellence across the university.

The event was organized and supervised by Heersh Omar Faraj, Head of the Career Development Center (CDC), as part of ongoing efforts to create impactful learning experiences and support students’ academic and career development.

This initiative reflects Tishk International University ’s commitment to enhancing quality education and fostering a vibrant learning environment that empowers students for future success.
