ELT Joyous Iftar at TIU Campus

On April 1st, 2024, Tishk International University (TIU) in Erbil hosted a memorable Iftar dinner for its English Language Teaching (ELT) graduates, commemorating the conclusion of their academic journey with a harmonious blend of tradition and celebration. Around 40 graduates, faculty members, and administrative staff participated in the event, which was held on the TIU campus. The participants gathered to celebrate the graduates’ accomplishments, break their fast, and enjoy the spirit of the Ramadan season.

The evening was characterised by a sense of camaraderie and warmth as the graduates reminisced about their time at TIU and shared meals. The event offered the graduates an exceptional chance to reestablish connections with their peers and lecturers, contemplate their educational experiences, and engage in discussions regarding their future aspirations in the field of education.

Throughout the evening, a number of graduates shared anecdotes from their classroom experiences, and faculty members provided words of encouragement and advice. The event not only commemorated the graduates’ past accomplishments but also served as an inspiration for their future roles in educational environments throughout the region and beyond.

While TIU continues to cultivate a supportive alumni network, events such as this Iftar dinner serve to emphasise the university’s dedication to preserving enduring relationships with its alumni. TIU is proud of its dynamic community and anticipates the organisation of similar events that celebrate academic and personal development and honour tradition.
