Annual Gathering Strengthens National University Sports Coordination

The Head of the Sports Unit at Tishk International University participated in the annual meeting of the Iraqi Universities Sports Federation, held on Thursday, December 25, 2025, in Erbil, with representatives from more than thirty public and private universities from across the country in attendance.

Meeting Objectives

The meeting was convened as part of the Federation’s regular activities to review and approve its annual sports plan and programs for Iraqi universities. Extensive discussions were held regarding the organization of university sports activities for the upcoming period, with particular emphasis on:

  • Proposed schedules for various sports tournaments

  • Location arrangements

  • Logistical planning

Participants exchanged views on enhancing cooperation among universities, improving the quality of university sports competitions, and promoting student engagement in athletic activities at the national level. The meeting concluded with several recommendations aimed at strengthening coordination between member universities and ensuring the successful implementation of the Federation’s annual sports agenda.
