Celebrating Creativity, Heritage, and Sustainability

On December 17, 2025, Tishk International University proudly hosted a cultural handcraft exhibition organized and presented by Ms. Yousra Wirya Pirbal, Handcraft Supervisor. The event welcomed students, staff members, and various university units, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere that celebrated creativity and cultural expression.

The exhibition was coordinated by Ms. Gala Abdullah Ibrahim and Mr. Bokan Asaad Hassan, whose efforts ensured smooth organization and effective collaboration among university units, contributing significantly to the professional presentation and overall success of the event.

Showcasing Art and Heritage

The exhibition showcased a wide collection of beautifully designed and culturally inspired handcrafts, all thoughtfully created by Ms. Yousra. Each piece reflected a deep appreciation for art, heritage, and handmade traditions, allowing visitors to connect with culture through visual storytelling and craftsmanship.

Sustainability Through Recycled Materials

A distinctive feature of the exhibition was the use of recycled and reused materials in several artworks. Everyday items were transformed into meaningful artistic pieces, demonstrating how creativity can turn simple materials into valuable expressions of art. This approach encouraged awareness about responsible use of resources and inspired visitors to view sustainability as an opportunity for innovation rather than limitation.

Promoting Art and Responsibility

Through this exhibition, TIU provided a platform that promoted artistic talent, cultural appreciation, and conscious creativity. The event highlighted the importance of handcraft art in preserving cultural identity while inspiring the university community to embrace creativity, environmental responsibility, and thoughtful design in daily life.
