On Thursday, December 5, 2024, a meeting took place at Tishk International University (TIU), showcasing the university’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing academic excellence. The Faculty Student Representative meeting, led by the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muhammed Ozdamir, convened in room 215 of the main building at 3:00 PM.
The meeting was a joint effort involving the TIU Quality Committee, hosted by Dr. Rasha Alkabbanie, Director of QMS and Accreditation. The primary agenda was to discuss significant academic developments and ensure the alignment of university activities with students’ feedback and institutional goals. Furthermore, Dr. Muhammed Ozdamir and Dr. Rasha Alkabbanie guided the discussions, covering eight critical topics essential for the academic progress of Tishk International University:

- Academic Calendar

The meeting also saw the active participation of Prof. Dr. Jaafar Hussien, Director of the International Relations Office (IRO), and Dr. Maqsood Saadi, Coordinator of the IRO. Their input focused on the ongoing student exchange program, enhancing TIU’s global academic collaborations. Moreover, the Faculty Student Representatives presented their feedback, addressing various academic and administrative aspects at TIU, including:
- Evaluation of TIU Curriculums and teaching organization.
- Suggestions for improving the exam procedures and technical elective courses.
- Recommendations for better alignment of the academic calendar with students’ needs.
- Insights on the educational process for the academic year 2021-2022.
- Concerns regarding departments’ responsiveness to student petitions.
- Encouragement of TIU Student Union’s involvement in decision-making processes.
- Proposals for enriching academic and non-academic activities.
- Feedback on administration procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
The Dean of Students Office commended the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muhammed Ozdamir, and Dr. Rasha Alkabbanie for their comprehensive explanations and for extending the invitation to the representatives.
