Tishk International University successfully hosted the IDCB Poster Competition on 17 June 2026 at the Main Building Entrance. Organized by the Dean of Students as part of the Interpersonal Dynamics and Character Building (IDCB) course, the event brought together students from the Faculties of Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Applied Science to showcase their creativity and innovation.
A total of 15 student projects were presented on topics including environmental sustainability, public health, education, technological innovation, community service, and social responsibility. Through their posters, students demonstrated their research, communication, and presentation skills while proposing solutions to real-world challenges.
The event was attended by the President, Prof. Dr. Sultan T. Abu Orabi, who delivered a speech highlighting the importance of student projects in fostering creativity, innovation, and social responsibility.
The Dean of Students, Dr. Mohammed A. Taha, also addressed the audience, providing an overview of the competition and commending the students for their dedication and hard work.
The projects were evaluated by a committee consisting of Assist. Prof. Dr. Hamdi Serin, Assist. Prof. Dr. Yunus Yildiz, Mr. Ibrahim Fatih, Mr. Adam Daşkan, and Mrs. Amani Tahsin, based on originality, content quality, presentation, and overall impact.
Following the evaluation process, the top three projects were awarded cash prizes: First Place – Faculty of Engineering (200,000 IQD), Second Place – Faculty of Pharmacy (150,000 IQD), and Third Place – Faculty of Applied Science (100,000 IQD).
The event concluded with the recognition of all participants for their efforts and contributions, reflecting the university’s commitment to encouraging student engagement, creativity, and community impact.
