Tishk International University (TIU), through the Social Affairs and Guidance Unit at the Dean of Students Office, organized a specialized training course entitled “Academic Advising at TIU – Road Map and Hands-on Experience.” The training was held at the TIU Campus, Education Building, Room 302, over a total duration of 24 training hours, extended and delivered between 15 November 2025 and 13 December 2025.
The training aimed to provide a comprehensive and practical introduction to the academic advising procedure at TIU, emphasizing that academic advising is an essential institutional process rather than a minor administrative task. The course covered the academic advising procedure step by step, shared practical insights drawn from real advising experiences, and highlighted good practices that support student academic progress, personal development, and timely graduation.
A key focus of the training was to demonstrate the role of academic advising in student growth and success, as well as its importance in ensuring compliance with international higher education standards. The advising procedure presented during the course is designed to align with recognized frameworks such as ISO 21001, the Bologna Process, ESG 2015, and other international quality assurance standards.
