Tishk International University (TIU) actively participated in MEDICO 2026, held from 11–14 August 2026 in Erbil. The international health exhibition brought together healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical companies, healthcare organizations, academics, students, and other representatives from the medical sector. TIU’s participation included the Faculties of Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Applied Science, which presented their academic activities and engaged with professionals and visitors throughout the event.
The Alumni Office under the Dean of Students supported TIU’s participation by connecting with and visiting TIU alumni working across the healthcare sector. These interactions provided an opportunity to strengthen communication with graduates, learn about their professional journeys, and recognize their contributions to their respective fields. Faculty representatives also took the opportunity to reconnect with graduates and follow their career development, including visits to alumni working in healthcare organizations.
The event also provided opportunities to establish connections with pharmaceutical companies, healthcare organizations, hospitals, clinics, and other sector representatives, creating possibilities for future collaboration in student internships, professional training, research, and joint activities. TIU students also contributed actively as volunteers and organizers, demonstrating enthusiasm and professionalism throughout the event.
Overall, MEDICO 2026 provided a valuable platform for TIU to strengthen its connections with the healthcare sector, engage with its alumni, showcase its academic community, and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
