RBIL — The 11th Annual Job Fair and Career Days officially commenced on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Tishk International University in collaboration with Soran University under the theme “Pathways to Success and Building a Sustainable Future.”
The two-day event was inaugurated by Dr. Aram Muhammad Qadir, accompanied by the Ministry’s Undersecretary, alongside Asst. Prof. Dr. Idris Hadi Salih, Head of the Board of Trustees at TIU, the presidents of both universities, the Head of the Soran Independent Administration, ministerial advisors, directors general, faculty members, and a large number of students and graduates.
Held at the TIU Main Building Reception Hall, the event brought together 36 leading companies and institutions, offering more than 300 job opportunities and internships for students and graduates across the Kurdistan Region. The fair aimed to strengthen cooperation between universities and the private sector while supporting sustainable economic growth and youth empowerment.
The second day focused on professional development through specialized seminars and panel discussions designed to equip participants with practical career skills and entrepreneurial knowledge.
Among the featured sessions were:
- Professional CV Writing and Interview Skills presented by Mr. Aram Mahmood, Learning and Development Manager at Korek Telecom.
- How to Start and Build Your Own Company presented by Mr. Rebeen Ali, Director of Foreign Companies Registration at the KRG.
A major highlight of the event was the panel discussion titled “Transforming Quality Education into Global Career Opportunities,” which explored the role of accreditation, quality assurance, and practical training in preparing students for the global labor market.

- Asst. Prof. Dr. Orhan Tug — Director of the Research Centers at TIU
- PhDC. Rasha Alkabbanie — Director of Accreditation and ISO Unit at TIU
- Dr. Barham Haidar Ali — Head of the Civil Engineering Department at TIU
- Dr. Abdul Samad Salahuddin — Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at TIU
The 11th Job Fair reflects the shared commitment of academic institutions and industry leaders to creating meaningful career pathways and supporting the future of young professionals in the Kurdistan Region.
