On Tuesday, February 10, 2025, the Career Development Center (CDC), in collaboration with the Dean of Students and various faculties at Tishk International University (TIU), successfully organized the 2nd TIU Genius Competition at Ibn Sina Hall, New Dentistry Building.
The competition brought together around 200 students, along with faculty deans, heads of departments, and academic staff, creating a vibrant and intellectually engaging atmosphere.
The event was conducted using the Kahoot platform and covered a wide range of topics including IQ, history, Kurdistan, TIU rankings and accreditations, as well as general knowledge. The competition aimed to enhance students’ critical thinking, knowledge, and interactive learning experience.
The competition was structured in two main phases. The first phase included Faculty Heats, where each faculty selected its top-performing student. This was followed by the Grand Finale (General Genius Competition), where finalists competed at the university level.
At the conclusion of the competition, Shwkatbag Edris Shwkit from the Faculty of Dentistry secured first place and was awarded by his faculty dean, Dr. Omar Naqishbandi, in recognition of his outstanding performance. Awards were also presented to the second and third place winners.
The event, organized under the supervision of Heersh Omar Faraj, Head of the Career Development Center (CDC), reflects TIU’s commitment to promoting academic excellence, student engagement, and a culture of knowledge and competition within the university community.
