Warm greetings to you all. We hope you are doing well.

Below are the guidelines and procedures for taking your graduation gown measurements. Please read them carefully.

Please note that you can start coming for your measurements this Monday, June 8, 2026. The process will be as follows:

  1. Strict Faculty Schedule: A schedule is attached to this message. Each faculty has a specific time slot to complete their registration. Please come only during your designated days. Once a faculty’s days are over, its registration will close immediately, and the next faculty will begin.

2. Behavior and Discipline: We have full trust in our students. However, any inappropriate behavior or disrespect towards the staff members registering names and taking measurements will not be tolerated. The student will be referred directly to the Discipline Committee, which has the authority to ban the student from the graduation ceremony. Please cooperate with the team.

3. Payment and Registration (Room 140): To participate in the graduation ceremony, you must first register and pay 50,000 IQD at the Accounting office in Room 140. You will receive one receipt: one is for you to keep. Please take a photo of your receipt and do not lose it because you will need it to take back your cap and gown. Please note that we will only process gowns for students who have officially paid and registered.

4. Measurement Room (Room 238): After registration, visit Room 238 in the Main Building (the Dean of Students corridor) to try on the sizes, record your measurements, and log your name.

5. Yearly Book Gift: This year, the university is giving the Yearbook to all graduating students as a special gift.

6. Stage Rules: According to this year’s regulations, only students who receive their officially registered gown and cap from the university will have their names called on the stage. Please follow the rules and register properly. This regulation is to maintain a uniform look among our students and to ensure your ceremony is conducted in the most organized way possible.

7. Great efforts have been made this year to ensure the gowns and caps are of the highest quality and meet your expectations.

8. Choosing the Right Size: Please do not ask for small sizes. Remember to consider the clothes or jackets you will be wearing underneath the gown on graduation day.

9. The sleeves of the gowns are intentionally made longer so that you can adjust or tailor them easily to your own liking.

10. Five different sizes are available: XS, M, XL, 2XL, and FREE Size.

11. Gown Standards: Please keep in mind that graduation gowns are standardly designed to be loose and large. This is the official standard, so please avoid complaints regarding the fit.

12. No Exchange: Be very careful with your choice. The size you request on your form is exactly what you will receive, and it cannot be changed later.

13. Students from all departments except Dentistry, Law, and Pharmacy who started their studies in the 2022–2023 academic year are eligible to attend the ceremony,
even if they did not pass or did not register for any courses in their final year.

14. Students from Dentistry, Law, and Pharmacy who started their studies in the 2021–2022 academic year are eligible to attend the ceremony, even if they did not pass or did not register for any courses in their final year.

Daily Working Hours (Sunday to Thursday)

You can visit us every day except Fridays and Saturdays during these specific hours:

  • 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Measurement and Registration Open

  • 12:00 PM – 02:00 PM: Lunch and Rest Break for Staff (Closed)

  • 02:00 PM – 04:00 PM: Measurement and Registration Open
