There are many students who stay in dormitories far away from their families and relatives in Erbil city. For this purpose, TIU has arranged Iftar in cooperation with Haji Idris Foundation in Abu Shahab City during the Holy month of Ramadan.
This amazing celebration has started from the first day of Ramadan on May 5th, 2019, and it continued for about twenty days. Every day about 100 hundred people were invited to have dinner and enjoy this blessing month of Ramadan.
Meanwhile, the project’s focus was mainly for the purpose of inviting students who were in need or dorm students who lived away from warm embrace of their families. They were very happy to sit and celebrate this holy month with their teacher.
Every faculty or department were assigned different days and it was announced through the representative of the class with the cooperation if their teacher. The project was done under the supervision of Dean of students, and it was managed very successfully. Moreover, presentations were presented to raise the awareness of the students about charity jobs and the importance of this holy month.
On 25th May, 2019 the last day Iftar was served for the students. Lastly, TIU is very happy to provide such services and bring different cultures and colors to the same table.
